I have selected my next Ironman event which will take place on May 21, 2011 in The Woodlands, Texas (just north of Houston).
Athletes will begin with a 2.4 mile swim in Lake Woodlands. Next is a 112 mile bike course that will take participants west through senic, rolling farmland of east Texas. The day ends with a 26.2 mile run course entirely within The Woodlands that concludes with a spectacular finish on Market Street.
My friends Rich Goode and Stan Hansen have signed up as well. While I have 300 days until the race, I don't anticipate training in earnest until late Fall. While my goal is to once again complete the Ironman, I would like to shave off some considerable time and set a new PR. I don't anticipate this course being nearly as hard as IMSG.
